POLAR SPECIALIST

(Independent Contractor)

About The Polar Adventure Company

We are a Canadian travel agency founded by two polar experts. Our advantage? We have a combined 30 years of Polar Experience leading to intimate first-hand knowledge, access to the world’s leading tour operators, and a genuine passion for polar travel. This is all that we do. With over 500 polar adventures and new inventory coming online all the time, we have the most definitive collection of polar experiences on the planet.

We specialize exclusively in polar travel and are our client’s partner in determining the right voyage for them. They receive an unbiased opinion on the best adventure from polar experts and pay the same price as booking directly.

Role & Responsibilities

Are you a client-savvy Polar Specialist with excellent Antarctic and Arctic travel industry knowledge? If you answered yes, you must intimately know the best polar operators and their experiences while being able to ‘translate’ those experiences to our clients.

We are looking for experienced, independent polar travel experts willing to contribute to a growing team of Specialists.

It's important that you are an adaptable self-starter and one who is willing to ensure our polar clients are always your top priority.

We won’t be micromanaging anyone - our Polar Specialists are consummate professionals.

  • You have a true passion for wild places and polar travel.
  • You are a Polar Specialist with a demonstrated track record of selling polar experiences.
  • Minimum two years of client-facing, polar travel agency, or independent affiliate/contractor travel sales.
  • Excellent phone and video conference skills.
  • Experience working with CRM software to manage sales leads.
  • When the opportunity arises you have a willingness to travel to polar regions in order to stay current with tour operator experiences.
  • College/University educated or relevant professional experience.

Employment details

  • Independent Contractor.
  • Working inbound sales leads from initial inquiry to post-trip follow-ups.
  • 100% commission-based.
  • Work from home, remote office.
  • Flexible work hours, however, must be responsive to inbound client inquiries, Monday to Friday on North American Eastern time.

Please send your CV to [email protected]. Let us know why you are a Polar Specialist and detail your travel industry experience in an introductory cover letter.
